Drop Fest is a One day Performing arts and Music Festival in the Streets of Downtown Flint on Saturday, August 11, 2012 from NOON-9pm. Featuring 3 Main Stages of DJs from around the Mid-West, Live art installations, Vendors and much more! FREE to ALL AGES! RAIN OR SHINE! NOON TO NINE! LIMITED VIP is available through the artists and on the day of. This event will be held in the FLAT LOT downtown, RiverBank Park and the Rutherford Parking Structure and accompanied by many smaller venues throughout the Downtown area. The producers of Drop Fest are hoping for an event inspired by the ideas of the early years of Detroit Electronic Music Festival when the city would come alive with fun and excitement from people from all walks of life for free! I see an opportunity to use the beautiful cityscape, riverfront parks and artisans we have in my city, Flint, to create an electronic music festival that will reach out to thousands of members of our community with a positive message, safe environment and free party for years to come.
